My Story
Hi! My name is Iya Gates. Growing up in Philadelphia, I remember the exact moment I discovered social media at 14 years old. While everyone else was just scrolling and posting for fun, I was obsessed with what was happening behind the screen. I wanted to know why some videos exploded while others died, and how a 15-second clip could change someone's life overnight.
I spent the next 2.5 years living and breathing this stuff. I stayed up late reverse-engineering the algorithms, studying human psychology, and testing exactly what makes people stop scrolling and actually pay attention. Through that journey, I realized that short-form content isn't just a trend - it is a total revolution.
But as I got deeper into the industry, I saw "big-box" marketing agencies taking total advantage of small business owners—charging thousands in "setup fees," delivering boring posts, and squeezing people while the business owner takes all the risk.
